Figo AI (“Figo,” “we,” “us”) publishes the Figo mobile app, available on the App Store, which lets users scan their fridge and receipts to generate recipes, a food inventory, a meal plan, and optional nutrition tracking (“Nutri+”).
This policy applies to the Figo mobile app and this website. By using Figo, you accept the practices described below.
2. Data we collect
We only collect the data needed for the app to work:

3. Why we use this data
- To run the service: recognition of scanned foods, generation of recipes and meal plans.
- To calculate your personalized nutrition recommendations (Nutri+): calorie needs and macro breakdown.
- To track your inventory and alert you before a product is wasted.
- To improve the accuracy of our recognition models and the relevance of recommendations.
- To contact you about service-related information (never for marketing without your consent).
- Retailer partnerships (B2B) : where applicable, aggregated and anonymized data (never your identifiable individual profile) may be shared with retail partners for shopping trend analysis.
4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
- Performance of the contract — to provide the app’s core features.
- Explicit consent — for health data (weight, goals, allergies), a sensitive data category under GDPR. You can withdraw this consent at any time from your profile.
- Legitimate interest — for product improvement and service security.
5. Data sharing
We never sell your personal data. We only share it with:
- Our technical providers (hosting, AI infrastructure) under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Retail partners, only in aggregated and anonymized form, when you use shopping-related features.
- Competent authorities, only if required by law.
6. Retention period
Your data is kept as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted from our active systems within 30 days, unless a longer legal retention obligation applies (e.g. accounting obligations).
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the following rights over your data:
- Right of access to your data
- Right to rectification
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
- Right to data portability
- Right to object and withdraw consent at any time

8. Data security
Health data is encrypted in the database. We apply reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.
9. Delete your account
You can delete your account and all your data directly from the app (Profile → Privacy → Delete my account), or by writing to us. See also our Contact.
10. Minor users
Figo is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data about minors under 16 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
11. International transfers
If your data is processed by providers located outside the European Union, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place (standard contractual clauses or equivalent).
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy. In case of an important change, we will inform you through the app before the changes take effect.
